Izumi — a blend of four prized cultivars, Gokou, Okumidori, Samidori, and Tsuyuhikari, crafted in the heart of Uji by Ocha no Kanbayashi, a heritage tea house carrying forward a 450-year family lineage. Fragrant and full-bodied, Izumi is generously sweet with a gentle, rounded umami and almost no astringency or bitterness. Ujihikari — "The Light of Uji," one of the region's rarest and most prized cultivars, crafted by Yoshida Meichaen, a family whose relationship with Uji tea spans 16 generations and includes caring for Japan's oldest tea garden at Kōzan-ji.
